During the Press Conference that followed the joint meeting between the ICMG and the Organizing Committee "VOLOS 2013", the President Mr. Amar Addadi expressed the concern of the ICMG as regards the progress of preparation for the 2013 Games, and the delay in the appointment of the Technical Committee of the Organizing Committee, by the competent Ministry. The President of the ICMG partly attributed the delays noticed in various sectors to the electoral period of the last few months in Greece, which led to the malfunctioning of various services. However, he expressed the hope that the new government will treat the issue of the 2013 Mediterranean Games with the appropriate attention and will proceed to the fulfillment of the commitments that Greece has undertaken towards the ICMG and the Mediterranean Olympic Committees. He also expressed his satisfaction for the will and determination demonstrated so far by the members of the Organizing Committee.
